My Travels
Alhumdulillah, recently I had an opportunity to explore Canada, well, only partially. I have posted some pictures of our travels here.

Path leading to Decew Falls
I also had an opportunity to visit another falls in Ontario, called Decew falls. We arrived there in the afternoon, the sun was shining bright and the weather cool. SubhanAllah, the beauty of the area was just amazing. It was basically a small stream in the middle of two hill sides, which was flowing from the waterfall.

We decided to climb down the hill and get a closer view of the stream. It was a difficult descent, but it was worth it. The water was clean and fresh with abundant greenery and creatures scattered all around it. There was so much movement in the atmosphere, yet there was complete order and serenity.

While we were trekking towards the waterfall, which was about a kilometer’s walk, there were many rocks and obstacles on the way… sometimes we had to hop from one rock to the other, pass from under a fallen tree truck, jump over a log, being careful not to slip as the soil beside the stream was very wet and moist. I was thinking about the path to Jannah, to attain something so beautiful, we have to put in effort, cross obstacles and remain firm and steadfast by holding on to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Only then can we have success in the Hereafter.

As we got closer to the waterfall, I had completely lost track of time, and by this time my legs were also wearing out. Alhumdulillah, we reached the waterfall. Looking around reminded me of how small I was, the huge trees towering up towards the sky, the thundering waterfall, the multitude of living organisms in that area, which I could have never imagined.

Who told the water to flow in a specific direction, who told the moss to grow on the left side of the rock, who told the caterpillar to extract its food from the tree? Truly, Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth, the One who guides everything to its right path.
May Allah enable us all to hold firmly to the Qur’an and Sunnah and remain steadfast upon it always. ameen
